 Subway/underpass/tunnel on a busy intersection in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Only lit by natural light, and as the walls are painted blue, the light reaching down there is ... blue! I did play a little with saturation and contrast in Picasa - as well as cropped it.

This light looks surreal, but it is really the way it looked. As written above - the path leading to the tunnel is painted blue, and there is no electric light down there. This brings out these shadows of the underpass. Hidden part of the city - yes, a hidden way of allowing pedestrians to move across something more visible - a busy road.

Taken at 70mm with my 70-200mm zoom

What an interesting combination of blues, from almost black to turquoise. The shining reflections and dark people-figures combine to make this a very interesting piece.
