A frigate bird was posing rather nicely for a very long time on a boat I was on. I took soooo many shots :)

No major editing, just minor tweaking during RAW conversion (contrast, saturation, sharpening, cropping). Not that I wouldn't have wanted to edit it more, but I still haven't quite made it back home from my holiday, and therefore don't yet have a version of Photoshop available to play with.

Anyway, DNMC away... :)

As an image, this has much to commend it. The detail is fantastic. As far as meeting the challenge, this really doesn't answer well to "perspective", and from your comment I can see you know that. Particularly "off" is the title itself, as of course a birds-eye view is conventionally looking down from a great height.

The image itself can be improved with some shadow recovery and some edge burning to alleviate the very flat sky. Something like this is what I am talking about:

Beautiful focus, texture, and light. I've never seen a frigate bird up close. It's quite exciting to see more than just their beautiful distinctive outline in the sky.

Nope... not even unique in the least. Good shot of a bird.

nice photo.. very sharp and clear. it doesn't seem to me that i'm getting the bird's perspective like the title implies. it's a view of the bird's eye but not a bird's eye view.

A great picture but it doesn't say "perspective" to me.

nice shot. That beak looks like an old piece of wood. How weird.
