 Just a lime cut in half using a macro lens. I had some in color too, but I always think b/w is the way to go when you are trying to emphasize texture over everything else.

thanks for all the comments. However, I still think the color versions of this photograph detracted from the texture. I do agree that the lime looks a little weird and maybe wasn't the best choice of subjects :)

I think this might have been better in color. Here, it could be a lemon, lime, orange... The composition of the photo is nice, I like the crop.

You know, I never realized how wrong a lime looks in black and white. It looks a little alien.

Its a bit too translucent to give a good impression of the texture

I'm not sure if B&W was the correct choice for this shot, anyway, it is an interesting take on the challenge and nice texture.
