 Male Pine Grosbeak..His color is kind of a rose red very striking..
Hope not over saturating you folks w my bird shots.
Have been fortunate enuf to publish a couple of them which inspires me..

Great portrait, set off wonderfully against the background and on that little branch he looks light as a feather. (so to speak:-)

Jane, this is a beautiful shot! The color is nice, especially against the subtle diagonal lines in the muted background. We don't have Pine Grosbeaks in Southern California, but I hear that they taste a lot like chicken;-)

I've never seen one of these although they are in my area. I love the muted colours in this, a lovely composition as well.

Not saturating moi- I love seeing them & i think I speak for the rest in this side challenge. We know how patient one has to be ,not to mention skilled , to get these kind of images. BTW- this is one of my faves-color stands out nicely against all that gray/white !
