The black silhouette and the soft buildings make a really nice picture. To fulfill the "architecture" subject, the buildings probably should have been in focus. However, to make it a great picture, I am glad you chose to do it this way.

good use of foreground darkness; it's wistful, like the figure can see the city, but can't get to it; the city itself isn't strikingly photographed, however

Nice silhouette with the city in the background. A tighter crop of the buildings with the structure that the man is standing in would've been better in my opinion.

The silhouette of the person draws my eye more, making it more of a subject than the buildings in the distance.
