I was invited to the graduation party of my friend's daughter. There was an eclectic mix of people.

It was freezing cold - I mean, even for Phoenix - and there were heaters outside. The pool had been adorned with graduation balloons, which you see there in the photo.

Also, the little knot of people is where the DJ was set up. There were actually lots of people on both sides, not visible in this photo.

Cropped, levels, resized, sharpened, more levels, more sharpen. Might have overdone with the sharpening because there are jaggies on the roof. I also used the xero clarify filter, which comes in handy sometimes.

The reflection of the pool are what makes this really work for me. It looks like the water is molten lead or mercury.

i just came back to this photograph because my last comment doesnt really say how much i really really love this photograph .. i've only been up for a very short time, its not even 6am, & i'm feeling particularly sluggish .. the fact that i've come back and made a second comment, even tho not as effusive as i can be, i'm hoping will make it blindingly clear how brilliant i think this is .. !! :)x
