This is a nice little nature bit. It's good that you had the right lens for this shot. That is an odd look with the filter. It looks like a topography map, or marine chart. |

That's really interesting, Roz---I could not figure out what was happening until I read your explanation. i like the filter- I have a set from xero too. |

For some reason I really like the sound they make a definite sign of summer. Of course where I am there is freezing rain falling from the sky as I type... I can't say I like the background effect either but it is a good capture. Its crazy how long they live underground//.// |

Wonderful capture Roz! I always find the shells, but not the cicada's emerging like this! What amazes me is the details in the shell .... they have hair!!!
