I'm unfamiliar with the statue in the background, is it safe to assume it's a war memorial?

Good eye to capture this for the contest. I wish you had included the entire right border of the sign.

He he I saw these guys on Richard and Judy one evening when I was home poorly recently. They are so funny (R&J) and their guests were pretty weird too - the chappies I mean. Nice split screen thingy going on here and the statue peeking out is kind of cool...

Funny and good.

I like the chance you took with this idea...a worthy effort. Without the title I'm not sure I would have immediately caught the meaning behind this photo though. Was there a reason you cropped off the edge of the war sticker? Keep at it! :)

i really admire this image-- technically it may need some a hint of contrast adjustments to make the white pop

Well, I don't look at this photo and think "silence", although from the title I can understand your reason. I think the photo itself would be better if that pole was straigtened vertically with the edge of the photo.

The Chap magazine doesn't come across as very silent to me. Nice DOF on this one.

Nice. Just a pity it's not quite straight.
