Hi,
I'm really curious about how you got the shot with the flaming wine glass you submitted for the fire challenge on DPChallenge. You obviously set this up on a black background in a studio. Was the flame the only source of light or did you have another light source?
Thanks,
Carry

Absolute beautiful capture of the vibrant hues in the flames. The flames really gives you a sense of the contour of the glass. Love the great highlights on the rim of the glass and the base. The spotlight on the bottom adds an excellent touch to the composition. "10" |

Gorgeous. Very simple and eye-catching. Glass is a little off center, but still one of my favorites. |

Like the colors on the glass produced by the flame and also the reflections under above and below the stem. The flames is not very focused, which I understand but it is just a bit too blurry I guess because of its movement during the exposure. Oh well. Fairly nice otherwise and I do love those reflections. |

I like the technique you used. Looks real sharp, and of course it meets the challenge. 9 |

Almost entered one eerilly similar to this, even down to the shape of the flame. I'll post it after the challenge. Maybe nitpicking, but it is slightly off centre and rotated to the right - I don't think you intended it to be this way. Otherwise its a good image. Did you use rubbing alcohol? |

Vert nice, love the smooth contours but wish there was a tiny bit more space at the top for the flame to finish clear of the edge. |

Simple, effective, love it, especially the way the light has caught the base of the glass. |
