This is a great photograph. I think it would have done very well in another challenge other than conflict. The focus is very sharp and DOF is near perfect. I like the border as is. In a different challenge I would easily give this an 8. |

what purpose does the frame serve, other than to distract the eye? A very interesting image, but that border is MOST distracting. (Frames are fine on weak images, contain the eye from wandering out of the picture, but this did NOT need such restraint. Yes, this type of technique is enjoying a little popularity, but it is a fad. Art will outlast fas. The photo could have been Art.) |

Denying what, exactly?
Cute picture, no content. |

about what? They look like they might be stoned or drunk but there are no indications to let one know. The white line border is extremely distracting on this shot to me and the larger space on the bottom is also throwing me off. A 4 |

Interesting shot, nice composition. It doesn't convey the message of conflict by itself. |

great photograph, I wish it fit the challenge somewhat less cryptically... |

I don't quite 'get' the conflict. I like the originality of the framing though. |

Not sure I understand this, but I think I do. Great photo. 9 |

Am I thick? Cause I don't have a clue what they're in denial about, they actually look pretty happy/indifferent. |

The angle here really makes it work. Unusual boarder, which really works well. |

Though ascetically sound, this image in my opinion, does not fit into the category of conflict. |

isn't denial the the avoidance of conflict? anyway, I like the photo itself - especially the man's eyes and cute messy hair. I like that framing technique too - I might have to use that myself sometime. |

This may be the worst border I have ever seen. Cheers.
It's really bad. |

I got hit for this, and perhaps you might, but I like your uneven border. Nice image as well, just not too much of a conflict feel for me. |

Love the border, don't get the title. (edit: I get the title now, thanks.) |

nice pic, but (for me) does not fit the challenge well - it doesn't say 'conflict' without an explanation. Show the pic to strangers, and say nothing. Ask "What is the first thing that comes to mind?" or even 'What is the conflict in this image?' and let me know if anyone gets it. |

Good idea but this doesn't quite work for me. |
