Chess seems like a natural idea for conflict but I never would have thought of it...good job with the shot! But perhaps a more distinct difference between white and black would be in order.

Nice textures and tones, like the lighting as well. Good job! (chess pieces are certainly a popular subject on DPC).

I would like to see the lighting equal on both left/right to score higher.
Still very good

Nice idea, but i would've liked to see more pieces, and perhaps a bit brighter

lining them up face to face really gives the feeling of confrontation and the overall dark colors help with the mood, too. great shot.

Maybe a different angle would clear this one up.

I liked this alot...not to sure why but it was definatly the best chess conflict out of all of them....the representation is well placed and the idea of looking down the line is unique

maybe a bit more light is needed, esp. on the left, but it's a great shot!

Good idea; a little hard to distinguish between the white and black pieces, however.

Excellent composition, lighting and DOF! Having the pieces directly across really brings out the theme.

similar to my pic. hard to light the black pieces and not blow out the white ones, huh? not sure i lke the two close lines, the shallow DOF.
