 wow this seems to people's favorite photograph of mine. Unexpected!

Post-processing: Crop, convert to b/w, then to duotone. After that, 2 layers at 45%ish transparency, overlay blending mode, one for white paint brush to lighten up the hand and frog, one for black to darken the borders. Then some erasing of the brush to get the desired effect. Then levels/curves work, dodging and burning on the points of interest, and some selective blurring of the distant parts of the hand.

So happy it is well received!

Great shot, I love the texture and background story of the dirt. The line in the bottom left is distracting, but still a favorite of mine.

This is such a great composure. I would really be intested to know what lens you used? did you use a super macro lens? Very good shot!
