HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY .. better late than never i say .. was that the 10th december ?? .. . ..
and OMG you're extreeeeeemly well preserved for an old codger !!!
not sure how to spell 'codger' or even if you'd know wot i'm talking about ..
a couple of minutes later .. i just looked it up to see, and the spelling is correct but unfortunately i'm calling you a fellow .. i'm leaving it anyway coz it has a nice ring to it ..
if i was a young thing i wouldnt blame you for being offended .. but i'm not .. lucky eh !! .. i'll be 56 on march 28th .. .. so you're the young thing !! |

The DPC voters behave in an extraordinary way sometimes. This is a first class portrait, it is also honest and says much about you. It deserves a top twenty placing at least. I guess we must sigh and put the vagaries of DPC behind us and keep on enjoying photography.

This is one of the top portraits of the challenge. The lighting is superb, as is the crop. It's real and beautiful.

| I like the simplicity of this, no fancy postprocessing, neither mind blowing ideas or visions or whatever, just a simple ordinary nice portrait. But, maybe because the crop is so tight, it's captivating, but I'm not sure it's doing it in as a pleasant way as this photo deserves. |

| A very nice close-up portrait. Alive, and sharp. Nice DOF. It tells me story from your eyes. Story of something... maybe "life". Very good photo; if the lighting in your eyes would be round, I would like it more. |

| Gosh this is a hard challenge to mark, especially when you see people that you 'know' from DPC. I am a big fan of your SP's and love the way that you portray yourself in such a variety of poses, from washer woman to something as 'gentle' as this. Wonderful full frame shot and I love the compassion that your face (especially the eyes) portrays |
