| The technical gestalt here is "mall Studio", utterly banal, but the hat and the expression are SO outside that. I have come back tot his many times and it always makes me smile, so I am giving you a large bump. My first reaction was "blehhh", but now I love it. |

| LOL!!!! I'm not entirely sure pink is your color, but I'm not an expert on these things. I think this would be an excellent shot to use with your resume. Definitely shows off your slightly quirky side, but with some subtlety. :-) |

Lovely, just lovely, AlanInPink! Pink suits you, and it contrasts beautifully with the blue eyes, tie, and background (although a touch of rouge/lipstick to match the pink would have perfected it). And the gray hair makes it look so dignified!
I should get serious. As a self-portrait, I think this is quite good, and one of the best entries. It is a nice "traditional" presentation, yet it has funk, and shows (I think) quite a bit of your character. I really like it. (10) |

The way i see this picture is more formal setting, i mean like a passport photo, directly from front, and then this funny hat and expression.
Would have been more interesting, is this what you were trying to do??? |

Fantastic colours, super sharpness and just a wonderfully surreal image. Your expression is magnificent and I love the way this shot takes the traditional 'corporate image' and just messes with it in a way that is at once both obvious and yet (bizarrely) not overstated (ie you did not go down the man in a frock route)
Great shot which both makes me laugh and also slightly unnerves me |
