| I really like the hands and the newspaper, but my eye keeps getting drawn to the background which somehow looks wrong. :( |

| Wow, If I hadn't see your re-edit I would have said I like your B/W photo. Your B/W photo is great but this re-edit is wonderful. The tighter crop really works with this one. I love the processing. When you have time I would like to know what you did to improve this photo so much. Great job. |

The tighter crop is definitely better and adds to the photo. The colored version reveals more detail - did you use some Lucis? It has good tones.
Though the BW is very stark and haunting, too. |

I don't know why it should even bother me, but my brain keeps repeating "HDR Photomatix HDR Photomatix..." at me :-(
However, in some way I DO love this version. It is a wonderful shot, and the post processing is allowing it to show off every little detail. I am getting so much more out of this one than the b+w.
This image is one of those rare gems that want me to keep looking at it in great length and detail.
I also noticed the HUGE difference the bigger size is making !!!!!!!
