 Progress on the cactus flowers. Apparently they only flower for a day.

Nice textures here. I like the splash of yellow in the foreground created by those spikes.

That is so neat! I'll have to go back to the other bud image & see if you mentioned what type of cactus this is. I can't believe how shiny the buds are

I have a cactus just like this one and it is now finished flowering.....

I don't know what colour the flowers will be - my guess is pink. What you see there is the outer casing of the flower.

I am guessing then, that the flowers are green. Short lives some flowers live. We have many flowers that bloom in the morning, full glory during the day and die at night. Beautiful capture.

I think this may be my favorite texture in the challenge !
