 I’m not really into colour, so I was at a loss as of what to do for this challenge.
I printed a blue/orange chequered pattern onto a transparent sheet and sat a clear glass marble on it.
Unfortunately, the marble has quite a few isolated inclusions which I couldn’t clone out in basic editing.
Not sure about the reflection – I did loads of shots at different angles, getting some with a reflection and some without. In the end, I liked this one the best.

I'm pretty poorly today, just got back from the doctors. I have a very aggresive stomach bug which is causing me a lot of pain and discomfort.
This ribbon has given me such a lift, I feel slightly better already ;-)

When I seen the 3rd place shot for this challenge I thought there goes Irene again. Wow was I shocked when I seen your name under this one instead. Nice Job. very crispy photo.

No way is it "ho Hum" (as you know ;-) And today it was like a Godsend because I was feeling like hell.
Thanks to everyone for the get well wishes. I'm slowly starting to feel normal again (or as normal as I'll ever be ;-D

This reminds me of when I was dabbling with ray-tracing, back in the days... I used to wait for hours for pictures like that, glass/mirror spheres on a checkerboard. :)

Ohhh! Wish I could do this! I don't know where to begin. First off, nice DOF!!! I really love the beautiful, vibrant colors...your detail is amazing plus you achieved the reflection on part of the table and ALSO on the ball?!!! wow! Lot's of technical stuff going on here. Well executed.
