 Happy Holidays!

I was gonna play it safe. I have a nice picture of a Christmas light surrounded by ribbon. But then I started screwing around with this picture and I decided that I really LIKE it! I am submitting it in the hopes that an abstract piece of mine will some day do incredibly well. Odds are against it... but who knows.. the literal voters might just be on vacation this time!

This is a photo that I took using my reverse-the-lens ring. Then I just messed around with curves, HSL and colorbalance.

Most likely to score: 2.0000 drum sticks (it's blurry! too saturated! there are other colors besides red and green! hehe)

Well, you called it: abstracts rarely do well here. But I LOVE IT. The composition is wonderful, driving me to the one light in front. The colors are fun and bold, and I like the blurry/painterly feel to it. In fact, it's going in my faves. :) I could see this on a card.

Well given your score range went from 6.5432 to 2.0000 it looks like about half the literalists were on holidays!

The thing I really like about your images generally is that they are just so out there, no compromise to try and garner votes just shots that YOU like, which is why I guess your score tends to be either at the top end of the range or towards the lower end

Guess it was a bit harsh for my taste (but remember I am old and dull) but I really liked what you were going for and the fact that the red and green was so vibrant and in your face
