 THE IMAGE: Shot from the Rialto Observation deck at twilight. I like the distortions from the 10mm lens. Handheld the camera at 1/2 second by leaning it on the railing and holding my breathe.

THE EDIT: Levels and USM, dodge and burn, colour adjustment layers...not too much. I wanted a punchy image, so I really massaged it with judicious use of dodging and burning. I love the light in this image. The sun had just gone down and the lights in the buildings were a nice warm contrast to the blue hue over the city.

THE PREDICTION: Maybe it will do well, maybe not 6.1??? Maybe it will get a few comments that it DNMC, or was a stretch. I am sure there will be some more creative and clever images.

Superb stuff! I loved this image - the processing is killer and the perspective makes this place seem so expansive. Pretty darn sharp for a 1/2 breath! Were you are sharpshooter in another life?

Superb image. I'm a big sucker for CityScapes, and this one is top-notch. Absolutely love the dynamic lighting. You really should send this to the City of Melbourne... I'd be amazed if it didn't wind up on a tourism ad. :O)

Sigh....The sort of breathtaking city scape I can only dream about taking. Wonderful sharpness and dof and the uneven vertical and horizoltal borders work well
