 A knock off of a picture I saw on Photosig (minus knife). My own twist on it. Shot with natural sunlight from window.

Auto Contrast
Cloned in more background/cleaned up
Picked White Point/Black point in levels because auto didn't quite make the background clean enough.
USM 125%, 1.5 rad., 1 threshold
Cropped portrait orientation.
Added 15px border
Resized

I like trying to recreate shots other people have done to improve my skills. A lot of people found this original, but this has actually been done here on DPC before as well...

Well it's really more like shadow and for now isn't it! GREAT shadow and composition. I think, however I would have like to have seen the two more apart then they are on this and more of ther real fork while, if possible, keeping the GREAT shadow. BTW did I mention that the shadow is GREAT! LOL!

Very graphic image of the shadow. The very white background really helps to make the bold image of the shadow opo out of the shot. Can't help but think that a horizontal crop would look better. "9"

quite cool - shadow doesn't seem to go with the fork (not a bad thing, just an observation) dramatic composition. border compliments

Slightly overexposed on the fork near the handle, but I had to really look to find something to complain about. This is a nice shot with obviously great lighting results.
