Well, after two weeks w/out my camera (I broke the shutter during the popcorn challenge), I was looking forward to entering a challenge. I knew I wanted to use a flower for the shoot, mainly because I wanted to see if I could get a good shot of one. I used two lights, a bright one from under, and a less bright one from the top, getting that slight glow feel. Photoshop was standard levels, curves, resize, usm, then my wife wanted me to add a border, so I did. Just a simple black one seemed to work the best. So thats it, heres the shot. |

| Lovely strong contrasting colours. Well composed. Not much detail on the stamen, if thats the right word, and this is where your focus is and so the image as a whole looks a little out of focus. If there had been a bit of mist on them to bring out a bit of sparkle and detail then that would have given the whole image a real boost. |

| good sharpness and color, crop at bottom could be enhanced - the background shining through below the petal at left is very irritating |
