 Really, one night I was sitting down watching Jay Leno and I saw a big pile of socks on the end table and said "How mundane." And then it occurred to me, what's more mundane than socks?

Nice that you had the presence of mind to notice - seeing the world around you and the opportunies presented really opens things up....keep it up!

Greetings from the critique club :)

Without the title, I would not know what I'm looking at in this photo. With the title, the photo meets the challenge. I think you did a nice job of using selective depth of field to isolate a small portion of the image for 'focus'. The texture is somewhat interesting. The non-literal approach to your subject usually works fairly well also. This photo didn't score particularly well, and thats probably because there is nothing particularly interesting to look at in the image. I didn't care much for this challenge topic because I knew this aspect would be a problem...

Perhaps THE most mundane object photographed in the challenge. You've done a great job. I love the sharpness of those loops of terry cloth and the overall "feeling" of laundry and softness that the whole image has. 8
