With all the posed shots that get posted each week it's nice to see one that has some candid flavor to it. |

Nice angle and interesting subject matter.. Good use of negative space on the right-hand side, something people don't understand very well these days. 7 |

Looks like someone got really riled with their book just moments before him and shredded it!
Great viewpoint and captures the obsessive fanaticism of religion perfectly. Is he texting God with the other hand I wonder? |

another angle would have been better... like from the side upward...to show his face |

The rubbish on the street is too distracting. |

Technicals: 1.5/2 - very good exposure, every wrinkle in his clothes is visible; slight halos from sharpening; flat light
Composition: 1/2 - not the most exciting POV, too much empty space
Challenge Relation: 1/2 - person reads a book while walking - not very smart :-P
Originality/Creativity: 1.5/2 -lucky shot
Overall Impact: 1/2

Fine photograph - it is of course those white objects strewn in his path which make the image, along with the fine cut of his trouser leg. |

Definitely one of my top three for the challenge. Great POV. The subject in himself is interesting and the fact that he appears genuinely engrossed in his reading is wonderful. For a while I thought this was a black and white until I saw the slight colour in the boys face, which actually gives the picture a nice degree of warmth
Nice application of the rule of thirds as well. 8 |
