The light is to harsh on the subject the paper crumped beneath it serves as a large distraction which add nothing to the image itself.

Interesting idea and nice shot. It doesn't convey the message of conflict by itself.

too blown out bottom left side. i'm not sure if i like the busy background but it is more interesting than a pair of shades. the most interesting area is looking thru the lense but just for a second:5 for average

now this is a good way to use those pesky over exposed shots! j/k - this is actually kinda cool. I think a little tighter crop might help, and a little less exposure time.
