Brilliant shot. Love the high-key light on the wings. It's very dynamic and eye catching - make it a print!! Should have scored higher, but I'm sure that there were technical nit-picks from the traditionalists.

This is a difficult picture and it's quite great for something caught flying like that though the blue around the bird is distracting..

There is a lot I like about this shot, the eye, the feet tucked under, the aura around the tail feathers and the separation of the tips of the wings. The blown-out underside of the wings is rather harsh though. Still, I think the good outweighs the bad. Nice job.
