I like the composition, though I'm not sure the collar/ zip adds anything to it. I think your choice of going in close is good. Lighting is a little harsh to my mind - I don't like that white chin area - I think softer lighting could have reduced that glare. This definitely speaks of texture though. Apologies if I'm repeating previous comments, I haven't read them. |

Nicely composed and framed. Great lighting-- like that there's something to anchor the lower right corner but the siney metal detracts a bit. best of the grizzly beard shots ;) |

the lighting on the chin is a little hot. other than that, i think you've done a nice job with the overall presentation and composition. |

easily the best of the beard shots. Like the sepia tone. 9 |

The angle chosen really helps to give a dramatic effect. Monotoned color really emphasized this. Lighting is really good. helps to bring out the highlights and shadows to create a great composition. "10" |

I thought grizzled was 3 day growth, but I was wrong.. it's grey streaks. Leather collar suits the rough texture. Works well. |

Nice concept. I find the zipper distracting tho. |

this is definately the best of the 'facial hair' texture pictures. An interesting chin, excellent light, like the monochrome. Can't fault it. |

doesn't do a lot for me - though I couldn't really criticise anything. I'd perhaps want one or two things different, but then it wouldn't be your photograph, would it? |

Black and white works well with this shot. Texture is great - sharp, clear focus. Subject - eh, okay. Composition is pretty good. Lighting is good, but I would do something to change that dark shadow under the lip. Something to light that area slightly so the contrast isn't so stark. |
