so I wake up this morning and my dog is barking up a storm. I look out the window and this is what I find. Theres a gopher turtle living in my back yard and this morning she had a "friend" over for a visit. The courtship lasted all of 2 minutes with a lot of sand being thrown around and head bobbing. I ran for my camera and when I get back to the window this is what I see. 30 seconds later the male was eating grass and my female was burrowing back into her tunnel. I am glad I got this on camera so I can use for evidence when it's time to ask for child support.

note: the red you see on my female is paint someone put on her dome before she moved into my yard. It's illegal to touch this turtles in Florida so if she has babies I am gonna have to figure out how to provide for a bunch of baby turtles since they will live in my back yard for a couple of years. wish me luck.

Love the textures on the turtles back! Altho, it's not completly sharp under the circumstances however, it's fair enough you only got what you got =)

Oh.. no protection.. I wish. That little bugger came out of the woods. He is a turtle hooligan. I bet he wont even call.
