This is my leopard gecko, Fats. He has really pebbly skin. I thought he would be the perfect model for my Textures || submission. He was not a cooperative model, however and it took about 100 shots to get this one.

Nice, but why no head? I think if cutting the head off, perhaps I would have cropped even closer and that would give a bigger shot here with enlarged texture.

Your colors and focus are good, I would love to have seen this creatures head in this photo, I think this would have also been effective if you had shot a close up of its leg and claws, but you got my attention anyway. Good luck...Gallatin

needs the head or closer crop.

Good texture, but I think I would have preferred to see the whole lizzard or whatever this is.

Great.. I love the smoothness of the BG and the foreground against the boody of the lizard. The bumps and textures really make this a treate to look at. The spots on the ground disturb me a little, but not enough to hurt thr picture. 9

I really love the soft glow and the texture is fantastic, but i wish it were a more dynamic shot of the whole lizard, or more focsed on the leg itself. It doesn't feel balances to me. A nice tight vertical shot right around the leg could get rid of a lot of extraneous detail. :)

Great choice for texture, background and lighting. Interesting composition.

Nice take on the Challenge, but I wish you had shown all of this critter or at least the head. Good definition, composition is a little difficult, but a good effort over all.

Nice texture on the lizard's leg. IMHO more DOF to keep the body in focus and the inculsion of the beast's head - even at the expense of the back leg - would have added a lot.

Cute title, nice texture. Not a lot of interest for me, but I think it's well photographed.

Excellent work with lighting, really evinces the textures here. Compositionally a bit odd - placing that leg dead centre upsets the blance of the image, and makes the other leg look like it got in the way, rather than featuring it.

[World Record Attempt]
+ There are some nice and different textures to be seen. There is a good contrast between your subject and the background.
- DOF is a tad to shallow; perhaps one stop more and you would have had an excellent capture. I would have liked to see Showin's head :).

hahahahahha. Great title. Very interesting composition, though I think the near horizontal-ness if it seems kinda static. Perhaps if it were rotated 45* to the left
