This is a Beagle who was part of the big puppy mill raid in Hillsville, VA, in which the owner gave up 900 dogs to rescuers. Several were brought to the animal shelter where I volunteer, and I was asked to document the event. This little girl was scared witless, but trying her best to cooperate with the people she clearly understood were trying to help her.
