the outside of the strawberry has the most texture and is pretty interesting. the unfortunate thing about your picture is that the white inside part draws most of the attention, and it's not as interesting as the outside.
i like the creative solid color background. |

I love the rice background - that adds to the total texture effect too.
But the slight shadow at the bottom throws it off a bit.
But I still love it!!! |

Err!!! I have heard of strawberries and cream but rice?
Very novel concept and well composed but the highlights blown on the cut surface & that has diminished the texture effect. But a 6 for all that. |

like the color combination and lighting....the white stands out a bit much...almost distracting from the pretty strawberry beside it

| Your lighting here is spot on! The colours here are great, really brings out the dimples or texture in the strawberry. Nice touch having the rice as a background too! |

| Top background. you've managed to amke the back strawberry look as though its madfe of plastic, and such heavy lighting has reduced the visible texture somewhat. |

mmm... I can almost taste this. Good job!
But what is that bluish thing in the top right corner? Seems as if the rice-bed ends there? But I know, no spot editing allowed... |

| Very nicely done. Lighting and exposure show off strawberry well, and rice was a great choice for a textured background. |

| Very nice image. If advanced editing was allowed you could clone out the red rice, and the red on the stem. |

| This would have gotten a much higher rating from me if the white rice had a more even tone. I know why you used it but I am wondering if another texture might have worked better. Still a neat idea. BOL |

| Pretty berry. Did you use something on the outsde skin of the berry to get the shine? I like it against the rice. I think this is well done. |

| Oh, very well done! I had to look at it the 2nd time to see the bed of rice below the luscious strawberry that was so beautifully photographed. The rice is a perfect foil for the strong red/green colors. Lovely. 10 |
