 this is a rework of another image i did a while ago ..
it's a combination of a drawing/design i did when i was using corel, and a photograph of an ant that i'd taken for the insect/minimal edit challenge ..
this is the design/ant combo which is in my 'abstract & digital art' collection ..

the wood beetle i photographed a while ago and might have used for the macro challenge .. i'm glad i didnt !!

i used three different photographs to create textures on this re-worked version .. one a close-up of some roots in water..

& some rust and concrete at different blending modes ..

this is the workflow ..

Totally bizarre, freaky, and cool! ;-)

Love this. Can't figure out exactly what is what, but it's tough to take my eyes off of it. Very good work!

That is just fabulous, girl. I love the intensity of it yet it has a symmetry that "normalizes" it a bit. Your images have so much intricate detail. I really LOVE this one.
