Thanks for the votes and comments.

To answer a couple questions that were asked:

Why is one of the popcorn dark?

It is dark because the popcorn above it is casting a shadow over it.

How was the flying popcorn setup?

I used pins to hold each one in place. You can see the shadows on some of them. I tried to position the higher popcorn to align with the lower ones to help mask/confuse viewers of the pin shadows.

The white dot in the upper left is throwing me for a bit of a loop. I like the original thought with the shot. A very nice capture.

Creative idea. Nice, crisp focus. My only nitpicks would be the white dot near the top left, and the bottom left kernel being in shadow.

Really nice work here. The masking you did to layer out the background from the cob and popping pieces is really well done. Love the blur added to the background as well. Hey - wait a minute. This is basic. DQ -DQ-DQ!!!! ;)

Should I admit that I was compelled to count and compare the gaps in corn with the number of popcorn? lol

Love the floating popcorn but the little white piece on the upper left is a distraction. Nice and creative idea - good luck!

Nice simulation. I like the colors and the grad across the frame. I wonder why the bottom left kernel is so much darker.

Nice work here. Love the popcorn in midair with the empty slots they seem to pop out of. Excellent show of action.

very nice 3D like effect. i was wondering why did you choose to have popcorns white(colorless) instead of bright yellow for the "pop" in the photo. i like it nonetheless.
