| Lack of focus hurts this. Greater DOF would have helped. And the lighting is flat, not dramatic. Does make me hungry. |

| Normally, this lighting would strike me as too harsh for food, but it works here and still makes me hungry! |

| I think your DOF is too shallow for your purpose and it seems like you tried to save it using (too much) USM. Furthermore, I can hardly call this dramatic lighting (3) |

| The arrangement looks too staged, especially the placement of the knife. DOF is a bit shallow, had preferred to have at least a part of the mushroom sauce in focus. Your lighting is very good, considered you had only one light source. Composition works, but as mentioned, I had placed the knife the other way round. Don't think, the black background helps the image, the kitchen floor or the kitchen counter had given the image a more realistic feel. |

As a vegetarian I believe there should be less focus on the meat
