 Ended up dyeing a whole whack of popcorn to make a ground/moat . Used food colouring/sugar with popcorn painted with oil (so the sugar would stick and the popcorn would not shrivel).

ISO 100, 5.0, 1/13 sec. Taken on coffee table, lighting done by what little sunlight managed to peek through the cloud cover that day.

Had the idea right away when I read the challenge, was hoping to use lego men instead of dollar store toys, but I turns out I don't own any lego men. I wish I would have had a wide angle lens so that the two catapults shooting popcorn could have appeared in the picture.

One reason on this for the poor score is that it has poor lighting. A very good investment would be to get a cheap speedlight (an offbrand one would do) that you can use to bounce light off of the ceiling which will make a lot better lighting. Also some people may see the idea as too "childish", just cause lots of people are looking for crazy creative ideas.

lol funny and weird. Where on earth do you get green popcorn? I like the bokeh used for this. I think the right side was cropped a little too close.

it's a very novel idea. Your white balance seems to be a little cool (might be my monitor though)
