No point of interest or composition (except DOF) to hold me.

This certainly meets the âtextureâ part of the challenge, but, it could use a single point of interest to make good use of that interesting texture as background.

Not much to make the photo interesting. Needs some focal point

Daringly minimal photograph, and really won't do well here I'm afraid. I like your thinking though. That graining doesn't, however, register as a function of texture, perhaps because its so very fine - it reads more as eithe patterning or even possibly just digital noise. I certainly wouldn't have said it was paper without your title, I must say. Interestingly different submission though, thanks.

The super shallow depth of field doesn't do justice. You can see a slight band of texture but not enough to really give you the feeling of it. Maybe using less light to give the surface some shadow would really make it pop and a less shallow view.

The texture is here. The subject and composition lack interest to me.

This i am sure will come quite low - done the job of getting texture but there is nothing of interest amongst it.

closer to what I would have attempted: no shapes, no depth, just texture

a little bland!

I see the texture that you are trying to emphasize....but it lacks interest.

I think this needed a bit more to make this interesting.
