 Inspired by the cover of Onitsuka Chihiro's new album. Unfortunately, no matter where you go in Korea there is always a distracting background... I hate the background in this too, but the processing was new for me.

Steps:
Convert from RAW (warm up colours and desaturate)
Desaturate a little further
Brightness/Contrast (brightened and lowered contrast)
One layer of concrete on hard light to bring some detail into the sky
Hue/Sat set to colourise, green, then dropped the opacity to 25%
Hue/Sat to drop saturation again!
A conrete texture with vertical stripes, red in colour was set to soft light and applied at 40% opacity
Next I used the same border texture as my day 3 image and erased the center section
Colour balance (more yellow in the grasses)

Save for web.

Just terrific. The layer is subtle, giving it an old time feel of an old photo with the cracks. Really nice. (commenting before I read your comments)

I rather like the background here - for me it implies a home that this woman belongs with. It a really nice image.
