The highlights on the gromet are too hot. DOF is a good choice.

Good detail composition - a strong sense of balance here. A feeliong of a rough texture, which is good. Perhaps a less harsh light would have emphasised that more, some of the shaping is flattened by the light like this.

Nice close up to show texture, I might try cropping out the fuzzy part on the left and lower center to see what that does to the composition.

Including the brass snap as an added texture was a great idea.

My first thought for this challenge was "jeans". I think the picture would have been even better with a DOF that had kept it all in focus. But its a great pic. 8

The big black shadow and the glare on the snap detracts from this photo IMO.

Excelent macro shot!! Crisp detail and great feeling of texture. Nice contrast with the metal rivet.

The reflection on the metal too strong. The light up left a litle distracting
