What a very unusual pet photo - I really like it. Not only the limited amount of the dog that's showing but also the way the background creates compositional balance and balances with the black of his nose. Very cool! |

I'm not a real big fan of dog nose type photos - but you did a great job with this one. The composition is good, lighting is good and great use of b/w. This shot, imo, really does fit the challenge in that I can see the texture of his nose and the fur seems very soft in this image. Well done. :-) |

Good one. Creative for a dog photo. The b&w was a good choice as it emphasizes the "textures" more. |

Cute pose meets the challenge nicely. Wish the rest of the muzzle could have also been in focus. Nicely placed in the frame. |

I'd seen the thumbnail, and was looking forward to the appearance of this shot - but unfortunately I find it a touch disappointing now. B/W is useful, always, to communicate texture, but I don't see much in the image, and the composition is not a strong as I would like - really, the nose is very much centred, and without the flow of patterns and shapes to constantly bring the eye to that point. 6 |

Too cute. Love the bits of fur and the texture. I think it's photographed well too. Just lacks some special something to make it stand out. |

Sheepdog? Looks like it. Had one I miss very much. Love this shot. Good light, tones and the focus is okay too. |

love it; perhaps just a bit too much dark-space? maybe just me. |

Interesting choice of subject. Dogs have more texture in their noses than I would have thought, and the texture of the fur comes across well too. |

+ Its nose has a interesting texture. Good choice of using B/W.
- Not again a dog *sigh*. Composition could be better.
