This is taken at The Strid, a wooded gorge in North Yorkshire. The geology of the area is really interested, and has resulted in an almost tilted landscape. If you lookk carefully at the photo, you can see that the water at the top of the waterfall is level. The area is constantly wet, and in deep shade for much of the day, and teh greens of the moss are quite amazing - I actually had to desaturate them slightly here, as they were too bright! A number of men have met their deaths at this spot - tradition had it that a man would prove his masculinity to his beloved by leaping the Strid. Whilst the length of jump is manageable by many, the landing on the wet slippery rocks meant that a significant proportion of those that tried met with a sticky end - given their obviously fool-hardy nature perhaps this was a blessing in disguise for their women....

This looks like a Bear_Music shot! The sky is a little blown out though. It sounds like you might have benefited from a polarizing or some kind of gradient filter to lower the exposure a bit.

too bad the sky is blown out. It really serves as a distraction to the image

Nice green in the foreground, but the blown out highlights in the sky and the lack in contrast and color in the forrest don't capture me as well.
