| border is way too thick, but what a great scene. think in another challenge this will have been much higher than i think it will in textures. |

| Beautiful shot, but IMHO where is the texture? I like a feeling of wanting to "reach out and touch it" type of texture. I do get a sense of light here more than texture. Nice. |

| Great sunset shot. The composition is quite interesting with the rays of sunlight shining through the clouds. Very difficult shot to get correct. You were able to pull it off. Would like to see a smaller frame. Currently the large black frame dominates the photo. With a nice shot you don't want to overwelm with a huge frame. |

| This is a lovely photo. Border is too thick IMO, and I'd crop a bit of the bottom of the picture. Perhaps a bit more contrast would help as well. |

| The border is too thick, I would rather see more of the image than the border. I like the photo, the streaming rays of light are great. Having a ship way out in the distance would help the photo, it would show the scale of everything. |

| this is beautifully observed. Fear you might score low though as more literal interpretations predominate. Don't let this discourage you - this is a fine study of nature's texture and a worthy 8. |

| Hmm. Is 'doesn't meet the challenge' a new thing to say here? It's a very beautiful shot, I'll give you that, and well captured, has great serenity. I really think it's too much of a stretch to enter it in a challenge whose theme is 'texture', as what you've captured is an effect of light in air, and in your darkening of the sea you've preactically removed all textures from this image. I'm afraid you'll be scored down, and not just by me. |
