Not a real fight...
Post challenge:Wow this did much better than I expected. I didn't get as many 1's as I would have thought. Thanks for all the comments, taken in Bali where it is not illegal during certain festivals. I went to a real cockfight. I understand all the those who thought it was too graphic and cruel for DPC.

I think this photo is very brave and you should not be criticised for portraying something which people are disturbed by, its a very powerfull shot and I would definitly not view it as endorssing cock fighting at all, its tastefully handled.

I realize that this fits the challenge and that it is an accepted sport in some parts of the world but it is not something that I would want to see if given the choice. That being said, the colour conversion is great and the contrast is good also. The capture on the action and detail is also good, so technically it is a good shot just disterbing. I hope you hide due to content after this is over.

I like your technique but I have to comment that cock fighting and any other animal fighting is very cruel. I hope that this picture can communicate that this is something that happens now days and that it should be banned.

I am guessing you are not from the US, where cock fighting is illegal. The subject saddens me, but if I move past my emotions, you have done an excellent job of capturing the moment.
