 told ya i work at coffee shops a lot. and by "work" today i meant "wait around for my next meeting to call and tell me where we were meeting," which is a lot of what i do too.

note that i was trying to catch up on my comments on this thread at the time. :)

has anyone seen the mastercard commercial with peyton manning where the paper boy throws the paper through the window, and the piano movers drop the piano and while all of that stuff happens peyton is saying stuff like "you'll get 'em next year!" and "just rub some dirt on it!"?

anyway, the scene where the barista steams himself in the face was shot at the coffee bar you see in the right of the photo.

in case you care. you probably don't. but this was the only shot i made today besides this one:



and poor walter didn't need any more maligning today.

It's so funny how the ubiquitous coffee house has established a firm place in our culture as a quasi-office. Sure beats a cubicle though!

This really has a coffee look (just like the paper where I always put my cup on). Never seen the commercial, but I like the atmosphere here.

You really put that laptop through the works, don't you? Looks kinda like a print with coffee spilled on it. :) Appropriate, I think.

Love the grain and the processing. The portrait orientation really draws you in. Like the notes, too.

I care. That's a cool story. And the picture draws me in and makes me want to go get a coffee. Think I'll go downstairs and make some. ..and put whip cream on top. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.

But glad I'm here and not at work waiting for meetings. Bleh.
