This little bud was growing on a rose bush next to my front porch. I didn't think he would survive very long now the weather has finally decided to act like fall - so I picked him. Our temperatures have been pretty mild (actually very warm) and the roses have bloomed sporadically for the last month :)

I dig the graininess- it goes with the raspberry red of the shot- and great placement in the frame- altogether very nice.

What a perfect little bud. I love how the leafy parts are reaching out and waving.

It almost look like a drawing. Nice processing. Not sure about the colors. It looks a little like a radish.

From the thumb, I thought it was a strawberry. I saw a sight yesterday that was called 65,000 Roses or something. They were collecting roses in memory of/in honor of or to raise awareness of something. Wish I could remember it now. Love the "high key" feeling of this. Very nice.

Such a wonderfully refreshing bit of processing! Don't get me wrong, I love the soft, silky glowing flower images lots, but this is really unique and really grabs you! I really love it :-)

Oh, I LOVE how you did this! I love just the hint of grain and the texture. I would buy this -- it's such a cool kitchen print!
