| I love how you captured all the prickly points. I bet that magenta is beautiful to see in person! And how wonderful that your daughter has such an interest in this stuff that she will take the time to research like that! |

| The little crown of bokeh in the background over the bloom helps it stand out nicely. We have the same thistles here, and the same color as well as a white variety. |

Beautiful thistle.
the spikiness shows up really well.
I wonder if you could brighten it up a bit, maybe with curves?
There is a lot of image there that I think you could bring out. |
