nice texture, but a rather normal perspective.

Very sharp and good texture present, colour seems a bit on the dull side maybe because the lighting is a bit too strong at the front because the nuts at the rear look to be the right colour

maybe a tighter cropping to remove some white and shadows,,but good picture and the texture is there with the focus!

A different kind of nut from all the others. Nice composition and a good closeup. Could maybe use a bit more saturation.

Very nice.....fits the Challenge for texture...darker background might do better.. to bring out an even 3D...effect... just a thought.. all in all...very nice

Your walnut piece is beautifully photographed. If you could have introduced another shape or color contrast to add interest it could really zing. Nevertheless, you did a creditable job. Nicely done.

The lighting here does a great job capturing the texture. Good shot.

I see the texture, but the subject and composition just don't hold my interest.

Nice, nice light. The focus is good also. I just would suggest the left crop is tighter then the right. Good entry, hope you do well, it's very nicely done.

nice choice of subject and well taken. Contast and lighting executed well though not sure about the crowding in the frame - maybe less nust would appeal more? just a minor quibble and maybe not even that - quite like out of frame leakage.

Oh hurrah, decent lighting at last. I've only had to get through about 45 images to find one. The softlight (daylight?) really enhances the shape and texture of these. colour rendition seems superb, and the slightly cold blue of the bowl (?) serves well to add some warmth to the subject by contrast. Not completely convinced by the close-cropping, think I'd rather have preferred a more still-life exhibition, and perhaps that is only because of where you've allowed us to see the edges of the nuts - fill those areas also and it might feel less arbitrary. Might ... not sure. First truly competent shot I've seen though.
