When in doubt, take a photo of something on your desk.
Today I cleaned my office a LOT. I've been doing tons of paper filing, and now I got behind and around the desk, organized copious amounts of software and hardware that was flying around, vacuumed, windexed, etc.
The sun was setting on my newly cleaned desk and the light was shining through my lucite scorpion. So there you go. I chose this photo because of those crazy rays and the perspective. In reality, this scorpion is not that threatening looking.
Cropped, sharpened, resized, Lucis Whyeth, Perfectum, saturated some and added a fat white frame. |

LOVE LOVE LOVE the light rays!!! I'm a huge fan of light rays :-) I'm sure he's not too scary in Lucite...but they're darn creepy when they are roaming free in your home, as I'm sure Cosima would agree!

ROFL location: on my desk. THAT IS SO FUNNY!!!
We bought our son one of those when we went to Arizona once. His was blue. Then we moved to the country and had live ones in our bed. Needless to say, we moved back to suburbia. |

I stared at this, trying to figure out what it was before reading your comments, and I thought that it looked like some sort of arachnid encased in plastic. Whaddya know...I was right! Aren't you going to let us in on the story behind having a lucite scorpion on your desk? |

Eeeee. .. I'm glad he's in lucite :) He does indeed look quite threatening in this photo. But you're right. The rays of high key light, and how it makes such interesting lines on your subjec make this very interesting to look at.

Neat image. The light is nice and the scorpion almost looks like it is moving. |

That's quite the lighting effect. From the thumbnail I thought this was a rotten tomato! |
