The backlighting from inside the shade brings out the texture very well and creates an abstract design. Clever idea! |

This certainly meets the âtextureâ part of the challenge, but, it could use a single point of interest to make good use of that interesting texture as background. |

Paper shade with random opaque strands of fiber - it appears that the light is on! Various sizes of the strands eludes to depth on this sand like mottled field. For me the black window restrains - I could see this one bleed and breath to the edge. |

Very cool idea. Good execution. You did a good job of not letting it get too bright. |

I'm back to comment. Nice abstract photo. B&W works really well. It looks like a view of earth from space.
Keep it up... |

Busy, but very interesting patterns. Like the toning, keeps me entertained for a while, good job. 9 |

Interesting abstract - though as with very many shots here its subject is patterning arther than texture: I get no sense of the three-dimensionality of this subject here. Like the exposure very much though, and the detail is excellent. |

Ohh, these dancing branches are the exception to my usual rule for a pattern type image: "add a shape or contrasting color to add interest." This composition stands on its own and must have been very hard to see and do. Congratulations. You did it. |

This would have been better for the "Black" challenge I think. I see what the idea is, but it just doesn't give me a strong sense of texture. |
