I like your choice with the black and white. I think even more contrast would be beneficial, IMO.

Another nice b+w, and you've done a nice job on the processing to bring out the rich black tones. Good ground up perspective, as others have said, and nice how you kept each of the four stalks isolated against the sky. Nice group of photos you came up with. Thanks for joining us on the walkabout!

Very interesting perspective! I'm thinking that the current DPC challenge had you looking from the ground up which is a wonderful thing. It is always a good idea to look at your subject from these different angles. That is another aspect of DPC that I really like, it teaches you to look at things with these techniques that you might not think of normally.

I love the texture of the cactus and the "softness" of it. It is like you have shown us a diffent side of the prickly old thing.
