 Its been awhile since I've last entered a challenge, so I figure it's a good a time as any to enter.

Created the heart (would've used the heart shape even if Valentines Day wasn't close) out of burnt wood...same burnt wood I used for my "Carbonaceous" entery. Even though I don't feel it'll do too well I just would like to see where this will place and looking forward to any comments.

The texture of the dirt could have been enhanced if you'd stopped down just a tad...otherwise, very creative!

this is wonderful - nicely titled - great concept photo. I especially like the smattering of dirt around it - give it more intest - it reminds me almost of flower petals or something.

This picture looked awesome when I saw the thumbnail, but bit it doesn't seem to have the same impact for some reason.

Shouldn't this be in the 4 Elements challenge? Just joking. Interesting idea, but I think of dirt as being brown, not black.
