Wow that green foliage sure stands out against the pale brick color. It would have been nice to see the upper part of the plant more in focus. |

The bricks make a nice background for this image; i like the composition and framing very much. I bet you notice this bush every day now on your way to the bus! |

the colors don't seem really vibrant and the hosta seems to get lost (especially the yellowing blooms) in the brick wall. Boosting the local contrast with something like USM at 25,50,0 might really separate the flower from the background. |

For more DOF, click the ISO up a notch, and the aperture one step smaller. 1/80 @ f5.6, ISO 400 would give the same light levels and more DOF.
I also see the layering of the very organic plant against the very manmade brick wall. I like the contrast, both in the color and the subject/background. |
